Is there a way to create and save .PES designs that are larger than 130 x 180 mm?

The most popular format for PES is version 1 and it only supports designs up to 130 X 180.
EmbroideryWare also outputs DST files which do not have any size limitations. DST is the most popular overall format and is easily converted to a later version of PES using free programs like MyEditor by wings and Wilcom Truesizer.
Because DST is the most popular overall format many machines read DST directly.
