Hi, I’m still relatively new to embroidery in general but I’m a fast learner and quickly figuring it out.
I’ve tried a number of software programs and so far haven’t landed on one I wanted to commit to, especially for the prices. I have figured out I will only bother looking at ones now that offer the 30 day full use trial. This is a really great option, especially for a newbie like me, one week would never have been enough and limited functions would have been useless. So thanks for making it so easy to try the product first.
Having said that, I’m only seeing a limited number of design file formats in the drop down list. None of which apply to me. I have some embroidery files from my recent explorations, but none in any formats this program seems to be recognizing.
Can I import jpegs, or other picture files, Adobe AI, png etc? Am I able to edit my existing Vp.3 files?
The program does not import VP3 files but they can be converted to PES which it does import using free programs such as My editor by Wings or Truesizer by Wilcom. Image files, jpg, png, bmp, can be imported directly using the image tool. The image tool icon looks like some mountains. The images are used as a guide for you to digitized on top of. The program will not turn your images into stitches automatically you have to digitize manually. Most programs that do this create poor results. It is always best to digitize manually and it is fun too.
