Hi, i got the full payed version
i use the YouTube movies and do step by step, but most of the pictures, i try to do with inkscape look good in inkscape, but once i push the break apart it will end up in black, so everything will be a big black blob, other pictures that stay as they should, once imported to ew , will take long time to load, once loaded and i want to change it to say a fill, or make it bigger, the program will stop working.
and some of the pics will make lots of paths? of sewing tread, so if i would stitch them up, it wil be lots of strips next to the Original images, wenn i try to go to the steps, to make sure it will lay into the embrodery the fill is show as one big one , so cant change it.
perhaps i do something wrong, i watched the movie several times, please help
Most of the user that have your problems are importing complicated SVGs they got from the internet. These designs are not suited for embroidery. Think of it this way embroidery is about interpreting the art with stitches. So a typical complicated SVG might have 200 objects. You would not want to make an embroidered design with 200 objects. A typical object might have 5 – 10 thread changes at most. It would be better to just import the artwork as an image and artfully trace over the elements you want in EW.
The reason all your items turned black in inkscape is that they had holes within other objects. By breaking apart you are separating everything into lines and curves. When you import into EW you will have many lines and curves. In inkscape turn off the fills for the objects and you should see the lines. When you do this you will probably see which details to delete to simplify the design.
I have also noticed that some SVG files end up being huge in EW. Scale them way down before you import. This scaling will be added in a future release.
If you are still having problems send the SVG to support@embroiderywaresoftware.com and we can inspect it and make recommendations.
