Keyboard lettering is actually digitized lettering.  Think of each letter as an individually digitized embroidery object.  Every one is designed just like you would design an embroidery graphic with many graphics. Text from true type fonts is creating a line graphic as if you drew it yourself.  It’s similar to tracing the graphic.  From the line graphic you can create running stitches, outline satin’s and fills.  It does not do satin lettering the same way that keyboard lettering can.
