First of all, i am very happy with EmbroideryWare. Your software is really great.
But I don’t understand the function of add/remove underlay. Will this function create an underlay automatically or must I design the underlay stich by myself?
Thank you for your complement. I am pleased you are happy with EmbroideryWare.
The underlay function allows you to embed a graphic into another graphic to act as the underlay. The graphic is drawn just like any other graphic. The graphic has to be an “AsDrawnSingle” stitch type.
For fills you probally want to create another fill 90 degrees to the other one at a spacing of about 8. Once you have the fill you need to extract the stitches out of it to act as an underlay. Choose “edit/copy stitches” and then choose “edit/paste stitches to new path at same location” This will give you a new “AsDrawnSingle” graphic that can be used as the underlay.
Also pay attention to your start and stop points of your underlay so that it will line up with the startpoint of your top stitches. You can choose as many graphics in the order you want to “copy stiches” they will all be combined when “copy stitches” is selected.
